One of the major provinces in the Philippines is Cavite. It is part of Region IV-A which is called CALABARZON, and is located in the southern part of the Manila Bay shores which is also 30 kilometers south of the Greater Manila Area. Interestingly enough, Cavite’s de jure capital is Imus, and can be described as a transition land area because the land is in between the coastal plain and central hilly area. When you get to Cavite, you can be sure that there are several interesting things to know about Imus Cavite!

Imus is also called the Flag and Christmas Capital of the Philippines because of the festive nature in which the people in Imus emulate during the yuletide season and the strong historical legacies passed like Battle of Alapan Marker and Flag that is widely known by many generations in Imus.

There are also notable figures that are known in Imus Cavite like Hilario Lara who was a National Scientist in public health during 1895 and Jose R. Velasco, a National Scientist in plant nutrition during 1998.

Imus Cavite is also a major commercial district in its own right since there are many nearby industrial establishments, production facilities, and of course nearby shopping malls like Robinsons Place Imus, SM Hypermarket Imus, the upcoming The District Mall ( an Ayala Mall nearing construction completion), and the South Supermarket Imus. Imus Cavite is indeed a perfect mix of rural-urban environment which makes for a good place to live in because of immediate accessibility to these establishments.

Lastly, in terms of immediate locations, Imus Cavite is surrounded by Laguna to the east, Metro Manila area to the northeast, and Batangas to the south.
